Daily Photo: 26/07/2012 – Belem at Greenwich
After yesterday’s disappointment, the sight of beautiful French sailing ship Belem making her way up the Thames this evening was a welcome one. The vessel, over a hundred years old, will be moored near Tower Bridge for the Olympics.
Danish royal yacht, Dannebrog (below), also came up but headed into Docklands to join the other vessels there for London 2012, some of which I also photographed today.

Daily Photo: 22/07/2012 – Olympic Torch Relay in Greenwich
The Olympic Torch Relay completed its visit to the Royal Borough of Greenwich yesterday. Starting its journey behind the security fences of Greenwich Park, viewed by the accredited few, the flame emerged into public view in the Old Royal Naval College.
By the time it reached Cutty Sark Gardens, where crowds had been gathering in anticipation, it was being clutched by famed sailor Sir Robin Knox-Johnston as he completed a single-handed circumnavigation of the restored tea clipper.
A few seconds after appearing in view, the sprightly 73-year-old had disappeared again as he made his way down College Approach.

The Royal Navy’s largest vessel, HMS Ocean, returned to Greenwich last night as part of the security operation surrounding London 2012.
After coming around past the dome, HMS Ocean was turned around so that she could be pulled backwards to her mooring at Greenwich Reach.
Baynes Media captured the moment as HMS Ocean passed the Old Royal Naval College and reached her new home for the duration of the Olympics.
