An apparently random shooting took place outside the North Pole pub in Greenwich High Road last night.
The BBC reports that a car pulled up, a man got out and fired shots which left three people – one woman and two men – requiring hospital attention although their conditions are not life threatening.
The attacker was then driven away from the scene and police were alerted at around 02:40.
Witnesses or anyone that can provide information relating to this should contact Greenwich Police on 0300 123 1212.
Update 24/02/09
A man has been arrested and remanded in prison in connection with this. 28 year old Thomas Scott from Plumstead was charged with grievous bodily harm, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, and also possessing a banned weapon.

Hi Nichola – thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I have had to edit it because I’m not sure we can get into those kind of specifics here, especially as arrests have been made and it’s now a matter for the courts. Your information was interesting though and if you haven’t yet spoken to the police I’m sure that would want to hear from you.

Hi Rob , i am not intrested to speak to the police . I am pretty sure that the police has the real picture of this case . What i do not agree is the way that the press twist things around … i am also pretty sure that the shooting had to do with the North Pole club . nobody goes and open fire and shoot people for no reason. My piont is or what i am trying to say is that;.because of these clubs and pubs around the area, the night life has changed alot and we do not feel safe anymore. Regards Nichola and family.
